Carmelo Anthony and Lala Vasquez originally met in 2003. They remained friends for a month before looking further. Since then, they have had a strong relationship. Many see them as one of the best couples ever made for each other.

So how did Melo and Lala meet? I’m sure this is a question that most of you have asked yourself. Well, her love story began when Melo asked DJ Clue what he knew about her. Finally, he saw her inside a club and approached her. When she introduced herself, they talked more and then exchanged information. After a while, the friendship turned into a relationship.

They didn’t wait long before getting engaged the following year on Christmas Day. A little less than two years later, in 2006, they found out that they would have their first child together. In 2007, Kiyan, her baby, comes into their lives on March 7.

Melo is 25 and Lala 30, so they are five years apart and their son is two years old. Lala has a career as a television personality and continues with various related jobs. Melo continues to play with the Denver Nuggets, who she has been with since 2003.

When Carmelo Anthony and Lala will get married remains anyone’s guess. They seem to want to wait and see no reason to get married in having a child. For about 7 years since they started dating, they have now been together.

At one point, there were claims that Melo was cheating on Lala, but these reports were never confirmed. Melo was arrested last year for DUI and Lala stayed close, though claims were made that she left him alone. Lala has also made her share of her mistakes, with the recent ejection of her from one of Melo’s games, however she says it was because of her fans and not her.
