Kill Lice with Tea Tree Oil

If your child seems to be scratching his head more than usual or an unexplained rash has appeared on his neck, it could mean that the child has a case of head lice, which means an infestation of lice. For most people that can be a nightmare. The child may even start to get large red bumps or sores on the neck or scalp. These bumps are likely to even hurt and itch, these are the places where lice feed on your blood. Lice can even spread disease. If a child has head lice, it is likely that he or she will soon spread the infestation to you, the rest of the family, friends, classmates, and many others with whom they may be in close contact.

Fortunately, there are many easy solutions that can be used to eliminate this infestation. One of these solutions is to use tea tree oil on your lice. Many other methods include pesticides, commercial shampoos, lotions, and delousing combs. There are countless products specifically designed to kill head lice. Of course, prevention is considered the best cure, but we can’t make our children avoid all the countless people they meet at school. If your child gets head lice at school, he or she should contact the school immediately so that other infested children can be helped.

A great start to getting rid of head lice is to use tea tree oil. It can be hard to find a bottle of this, unless you have a random bottle on hand, but it will be great once you do. If your child has lice, it is likely that he will get lice again in the next few weeks.

Tea tree oil is a natural fungicide that comes from Australia. The native aborigines have used the leaves of the tea tree for various medicinal purposes, such as curing headaches. Fortunately, this oil is also quite effective in killing head lice.
