How to Get Rid of Blackheads Fast: 6-Step Overnight Acne Treatment

Do photos come out? Prom or school to go? Special date in the next 24 hours? This proven 6-step process will eliminate a problem pimple overnight!

Step 0: Don’t pop the pimple!

I just added this pre-step as some people can get so frustrated with their pimples that they just pop. This can make your problem worse. It will also reduce the effectiveness of the next 6 steps.

Step 1: Prepare your ice pack

Crush some ice. If you have multiple grains or a “grain zone”, increase the amount of ice. Crush the ice and place it inside an aluminum foil. Place the foil ice pack inside a resealable freezer or sandwich bag. The intention here is to have the pack as cold as possible. Put the package back in the freezer. Do this just before step two, otherwise your ice will refreeze into a solid lump. You want a bag of crushed ice that is ‘easily molded to the face’.

Step 2: Prepare your face

Wash your face with soap, preferably an acne soap. Wash it well and if your skin is still oily, wash it again. Pat your face dry, but pat it dry with a towel. DO NOT RUB IT DRY!

Step 3: Freeze That Sucker

Take the ice pack out of the freezer, crush it further if it has refrozen into lumps, and place it inside a thin hand towel. This will allow the cold here to get out without freezing your face in the plastic sandwich bag. Place the ice pack on the pimple or acne affected area and keep it there for at least 10 minutes. If it feels too “cold”, just continue, as your face will go numb and stop hurting soon. The ice pack freezes the pore and expels dirt and oil from the infected area. Be careful not to move the ice pack around your face. If you need to adjust it, please take it out directly and apply it again. DO NOT PASS IT ON YOUR SKIN!

Step 4 – Blast That Fool

Apply your choice of acne cream all over your face. We recommend Noxzema or Clearasil as they seem to give the best results. Rub it especially well around the pimple or acne area. Once applied, leave on for a minute and then wash off with water. Pat your face dry, but pat it dry with a towel. DO NOT RUB IT DRY!

Step 5: repeat the process

Wait 4 hours and then repeat Step 2 (Prepare your face) and then Step 3 (Freeze that sucker) and then Step 4 (Blow up that sucker). You should already notice a significant reduction in the size of the pimple or acne area. At the end of the Step 4 repeat, do not remove the acne cream. Leave on for at least 6 hours. This process is good just before bedtime and you can sleep with the acne cream mask all night.

Step 6: Final face wash

When you wake up (or at the end of at least 6 hours) wash off the acne cream with water. Give it a good rinse. However, remember: dry your face with a towel. DO NOT RUB IT DRY! You shouldn’t have any more pimples! If the pimple still isn’t completely gone, you can repeat Step 2 (Prep your face) and then Step 3 (Freeze that sucker) and then Step 4 (Blast that sucker) again if you have time before your big event .
