Fatherhood with superpowers!

Parents, wouldn’t it be great if we all had superpowers? Think how amazing that would be. We would never be late to pick up our children again. If we find ourselves running late, we could put on our superhero flight cape and use our super power of flight to be on time and keep our kids’ world from falling apart.

Also, if we had the superpowers of sight and hearing, we would always be able to see and hear what our children were doing. Imagine how much trouble we could keep them out of and how many bad guys we could keep them out of! Heck, we could even correct any lousy advice their friends give them in real time, before they went and did something stupid because their friend told them to.

Now, most of us normal people, who don’t have these superpowers of flying, seeing and hearing everything. I know not. However, sometimes I suspect that my wife has some of these superpowers. She sees and hears everything that happens in our house. For the others like me who don’t, well there’s still hope for us. That’s how it is. I have a secret to tell you. Come a little closer. Are you ready? Good. Here it goes. Each of us can still practice the Superpower of Patience…

You heard me right. Patience really is a superpower! Patience is a superpower because it can transform both our children and ourselves into all that we can be. Patience allows us to live up to our true and highest potential. Patience makes us look really smart and powerful too! Also, practicing patience allows our children to make the mistakes they are supposed to make; And this is how they will learn to be great!

Now, as my grandfather always said, “Go learn, lead and lead the way to a better world for all of us.” Patience is really one of the superpowers because it is transformative. And once again, parents, thank you in advance for all that you do and for all that you will do…
