Don’t Line the Pockets of WoW Gold Farmers: 2 Newbie Ways to Make Gold in World of Warcraft

If you start buying WoW Gold, you are preparing to become dependent on it. Instead, why not learn how to make your own gold quickly and not have to give your money back to gold producers? Making gold in world of Warcraft isn’t rocket science, but if you’re new to the game, it can be frustrating not having enough gold to buy the best gear or even the necessary repairs and spells.

You don’t have to stuff farmers’ pockets with gold here are some tips to get you started making your OWN WoW gold:

How to make gold in World of Warcraft

1) If you’re under level 10 and you’re a total newbie just starting out, start skinning and mining as soon as you can. The Blood Elf starting area is perfect for this. Just outside Silvermoon City there are tons of those flying birds everywhere. Kill them and collect all the small eggs that fall (usually 2 fall at a time), you can also skin them later and collect the skins. I made 50 gold in less than 1 hour by selling these eggs and skins at the auction house. You can also mine for copper ore and sell the bars at the auction house. You need to make sure you have at least one character on your account who has his mining skill maxed out at each level, as you will be using this skill at later levels to make a lot of WoW gold.

2) Levels 20 – 40 – WoW Wool Cloth + Mining. Woolen fabric is not as abundant as silk and it sells WELL on most servers I’ve been to. I have gotten up to 20 gold per pile for wool. If you put it on the auction house at the right time, you can make a lot of gold out of these things! If your WoW character is high enough level, the best place to farm WoW Cloth in WoW is Stormwind Stockades. Keep all the greens and blues you get too, some level 19 twink items can bring a good price!

You can usually get double the price of wool on the horde side, so if you don’t want to mess with bringing a horde character to the storm wind, you can farm it using an alliance character and then put it to the sale at Booty Bay neutral auction house and use one of your horde characters to buy it (you will need 2 different WoW accounts to use this method). You cannot bid on your own auction if you use 2 characters on the same account, they must be on different accounts, I found out the hard way!

After the transfer, put the wool cloth up for sale at the horde auction house and get double the gold. I also find this useful for moving Gold between my characters on the Alliance and Horde sides, the greedy Goblins of Booty Bay will take their share, but you only have to live with that if you need Gold to move to one side or the other.

If you’re from the horde, you can also farm Woolen Cloth in ShadowFang Keep, although you won’t get as much Woolen Cloth per hour, you do have a chance to get one of the rare Shadowfang or Assassin Blades!

These are just a few tips to get you started making WoW gold. It’s always better to make your own so you don’t depend on having to buy WoW gold and fill the pockets of gold farmers!
