What is the National Security Whistleblower Coalition?

The National Security Whistleblowers Coalition, or NSWBC for short, was founded in 2004 by former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds in partnership with more than 50 former and current US government officials from more than a dozen agencies. After revealing this information to the FBI, she was fired in March 2002.

The goal of the National Security Whistleblower Coalition is to assist national security whistleblowers through a variety of different methods, such as advocating for government and legal reforms, providing comfort and companionship to national security whistleblowers who experience retaliation, and other damages, educating the public on whistle-blowing. activity and work with other public interest organizations to achieve the goals defined in the NSWBC mission statement.

NSWBC membership is comprised exclusively of current or former federal or civilian employees working under contract with the United States and who, to their detriment or personal risk, expose fraud, waste and abuse in operations and government agencies when such irregularities compromise the national government. The National Security Whistleblower Coalition requires whistleblower rights for intelligence agency employees and federal contractors, classified disclosures to Congress, security clearances, review of all circuits.
