Use PSN on custom firmware – PSP

I admit I’m a tightwad. I like free and cheap stuff and would rather not update my PSP firmware to the latest version and still keep my 5.03 firmware. Keeping an older firmware has its drawback, which is that you cannot log in to PSN and download demos, themes, and games purchased from the PSN store. And with that, today someone brilliant and great has created us an addon that will allow us to log into PSN with older and custom firmware. No matter what CFW you are on 5.55 Gen-D, 5.0.3 Gen-C / D/B whatever, now you can access PSN using this plugin called PSNLover.

Guide on how to install PSNLover

1. Download PSNLover Beta v1.1.

1.1 Connect the psp to your pc

2. Create a folder named seplugins in your root psp

3. Open notepad and paste this code.

ms0:/seplugins/psnlover.prx 1

save that txt file in seplugins folder and name it vsh.txt

4. Open notepad again, paste the code again

ms0:/seplugins/psnlover.prx 1

save it in seplugins and name it game.txt

5. extract psnlover.prx into seplugins

6. disconnect your psp from the pc

7. Assuming you are already running Chicken and custom firmware, press select and enter the recovery menu

find and change this

recovery->configuration->false region: type I debugging

Recovery->Settings->M33 Network Update: Disabled or NOT YET

8. press back and select to return to your psp menu. Well done, you can now enter the PSN store.
