So what about the third eye?

I get this question a lot! Almost very day actually! I wear my third eye sunglasses as often as I can for a real purpose. First of all, it’s fun and fun is very important. I can exchange smiles with many people throughout the day, to connect with them. With all the suffering I’ve been through, it gives me great joy to be able to bring a smile to someone’s face, a stranger, someone I’ll probably never get the chance to meet. Lots of people get it and strike up a conversation with me about their experiences.

A lot of people don’t understand and I’m so glad they feel comfortable enough to come up and ask me, “So what about the third eye?” The conversation begins and I get to plant some seeds and share a bit about my story overcoming depression, anxiety, and twelve years on a cocktail of pharmaceuticals. And they begin to share their story, or their son’s story, or their mother’s story. The dialogue about depression begins. Something that unfortunately has become a taboo subject. It was my life, my world for almost twenty years, and now it’s my passion to teach people about our mind, body, spiritual connection, and our bodies’ beautiful abilities to heal naturally.

Depression and anxiety are not diseases in themselves, but side effects of the body’s holistic imbalance. Imbalance can be caused by literally thousands of different reasons and healing comes by curing the causes, not treating the symptom of depression with a pill. Don’t get me wrong: I support people’s decisions to take medicine when they need it. I certainly did. I was in no condition to heal myself at the time. She had two very sick children, mommy responsibilities, and other life issues to deal with.

Going back to the third eye… how does this relate to depression and anxiety? And is there such a thing? The third eye is our pineal glans and is located in the center of our forehead about halfway inside the skull between the two hemispheres. It is responsible for the production of melotonin and serotonin. It is a gland that actually contains the same vitreous fluid as our other two eyes. “What? Why is this the first time I’m hearing about this?” you might be wondering. I get it! I didn’t really learn about this until I was 40 years old. How could I not know about one of my body parts? Why wasn’t I taught about this when I was learning about my little pigs and my head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes? I was actually a bit surprised to find out so late in life. When I learned more about how keeping this glans healthy gave me so much power and connection to happiness, joy and purpose in my life, I knew I needed to learn more and teach my brothers and sisters about it.

Other cultures celebrate the pineal gland and understand its power. Buddhists and Hindus understand it. they use it. They feed it. They honor it. Why is it such a big secret here in the west? Or is that it? Then I started noticing things, the symbol has been used everywhere, since the founding of our country, mostly in positive ways that represent the omniscient eye of God and the individual’s ability to individually connect with that. I noticed the dollar bill and searched the internet to find out who else knows about this beautiful organ we have when I’ve been in the dark for so long. It has been used by organizations such as the Illuminati, the French government, the US government, Free Masons, 911 memorials, Madonna’s super bowl show, a Sydney New Year’s Eve celebration on the Harbor Bridge, etc. etc.

Is the eye symbol good or bad? How does that relate to me? The pineal gland is a beautiful aspect of our physical anatomy that connects us to the beautiful aspect of our energetic or spiritual anatomy and spirituality as a whole. When we are born, our third eye is healthy and activated, as are most parts of our body. I wasn’t taught (like probably most of my readers) how to keep it healthy with good nutrition and exercise (third eye exercise, no jogging lol), so mine shriveled up and I didn’t even know it was there.

There are many ways to develop your strength in your pineal gland, your third eye and I have written about it in other articles on my website. I hope you’ll follow me on my Facebook page to learn more about building your health – mind, body, and spirit!

I love you all! <3
In light and love,
round
